Make A Difference Tour

Twenty-five thousand children will have someone to care for them and support their livelihood now.

How you ask?  Through the “Make a Difference Tour” that will help raise sponsors for these deserving children.

World Vision, an international humanitarian agency, is the tour’s sponsor and AEG Live, a leading provider of live entertainment around the world, is producing it.

The tour features New York Times best-selling author Max Lucado.  Lucado’s forthcoming book, Outlive Your Life: You Were Made to Make a Difference, is the basis for the tour.

The line-up for the show includes GRAMMY award-winning recording artists TobyMac, Michael W. Smith, and Third Day.

Lucado set the goal last year to reach 25,000 sponsors in honor of his 25th year of publishing in 2010.  One hundred percent of the author royalties from all Outlive Your Life products will be donated to benefit children and families through World Vision and other faith-based compassion ministries.

“Partnering with World Vision, TobyMac, Michael, and Third Day is a real privilege and pleasure,” Lucado said.  “None of us can help everyone, but all of us can help someone.  And when we serve the poor, we serve God.  Who would want to miss a chance to do that?”

This tour marks the first time all of these artists have performed together.

“Max, Michael, Toby, and the men of Third Day all agree this message is the perfect rallying point, and that making a difference for others is a lifelong commitment they all share,” Senior Vice President for AEG Live/MEG Steve Moore said.

The design for the “Make A Difference Tour 2010″ is a different kind of concert and performance.

“The focus of the tour is to encourage people to look beyond themselves, to turn outward and to make a difference on behalf of friends, neighbors, their community and this world,” Channel/Product Executive Director for World Vision Jenny Lockwald said. “We are honored to be partnering in this endeavor with Max Lucado and this amazing group of artists.”

The tour will continue through the end of October, ending it’s rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Purchase your tickets online, donate money to the cause, or simply pray for the success of this tour.  Most importantly, remember and pray for the well-being and joy of these children who are gaining sponsors’ support.  They need are help now more than ever.
